Terms of Service

By accessing or using the TradiYard platform, website, or mobile application ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. TradiYard Pty Ltd ("TradiYard", "we", "us") may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email and Platform notice at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

TradiYard is an online marketplace that connects homeowners and property managers ("Customers") with independent licensed trade professionals ("Tradies"). TradiYard is not a party to any agreement between Customers and Tradies, and is not an employer, agent, or contractor of any Tradie. All services are provided by independent Tradies. TradiYard does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or completion of any job. TradiYard's role is to facilitate the connection and, where Secure Pay is used, to hold and release payment.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@tradiyard.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access. TradiYard reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent or harmful behaviour.

Tradies must hold all licences, certifications, and insurance required for their trade in their state or territory. By registering as a Tradie, you declare that: — You hold a valid ABN registered with the Australian Business Register — You hold all required trade licences for the work you offer — You carry appropriate public liability insurance (minimum $5M recommended) — You will maintain these requirements for as long as your account is active TradiYard verifies ABNs via the ABR API and licences via state authority registers. Verification status is displayed on your profile. TradiYard is not responsible for any errors in government databases. You are responsible for ensuring your own compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Tradies access the Platform through paid subscription plans: Starter ($49/month): Up to 15 job leads per month, basic profile, reviews, badge eligibility. Pro ($99/month): Unlimited leads, full profile, quoting and invoicing tools, schedule management, priority placement, performance dashboard. Business ($179/month): Everything in Pro, plus up to 5 team logins (Q3 2026), business analytics, 50 portfolio photos, priority support. All prices include GST. Annual plans available at a 20% discount. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings — your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period, with no refund for unused time. 14-day free trial available on all plans. No credit card required to start. If you do not add a payment method within 14 days, your account moves to read-only mode.

TradiYard Secure Pay is an optional escrow payment service. When a Customer uses Secure Pay: 1. The Customer funds the escrow with the agreed job amount before work begins. 2. The Tradie is notified that payment is secured and work can commence. 3. On satisfactory completion, the Customer releases payment to the Tradie. 4. TradiYard deducts a 2.5% platform fee before releasing funds to the Tradie. 5. If the Customer does not release payment within 7 days of job completion, TradiYard will automatically release payment unless a dispute has been raised. Secure Pay supports milestone payments (deposit, mid-job, final). Funds in escrow are held in a separate trust account. Secure Pay is optional — Tradies and Customers may agree to any other payment method. TradiYard has no liability for payments made outside Secure Pay.

If a dispute arises regarding a job paid through Secure Pay, either party may raise a dispute within 14 days of the scheduled completion date. TradiYard will mediate disputes within 24 hours of receipt. Mediators will review job descriptions, messages, photos, and other evidence. TradiYard's decision in mediation is final and binding for Secure Pay transactions. For jobs paid outside Secure Pay, TradiYard is not a party to the dispute and has no obligation to mediate. We may choose to facilitate communication between parties at our discretion. Consumer rights: Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010).

Reviews on TradiYard are job-verified — only Customers who have paid for a completed job through the Platform may leave a review. Tradies may not review themselves or solicit reviews through means that violate Platform integrity. TradiYard displays all verified reviews, both positive and negative. We do not suppress negative reviews except where they violate our content policy (see Section 9). Tradies may post a single response to each review. Responses must be professional and factual. TradiYard reserves the right to remove reviews that contain false statements of fact, personal attacks, or content that violates our policies.

You must not: — Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information — Circumvent the Platform by directing customers to pay outside Secure Pay to avoid fees — Harass, threaten, or abuse other users — Post content that is defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, or illegal — Attempt to access another user's account without authorisation — Use the Platform for any purpose that violates Australian law — Scrape, copy, or commercially exploit Platform content without written permission — Create fake reviews or manipulate the review system — Impersonate any person or organisation Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

TradiYard owns all intellectual property in the Platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and content. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. You retain ownership of content you post (job descriptions, photos, messages, reviews). By posting content, you grant TradiYard a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and reproduce that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law: TradiYard is not liable for: the quality or safety of any work performed by Tradies; any damage to property during a job; personal injury; loss of income or business; or any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid to TradiYard in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees for services supplied by TradiYard itself.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TradiYard, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: your use of the Platform; your breach of these Terms; or your violation of any third party's rights.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. TradiYard may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. On termination: your access to the Platform ceases immediately; your reviews and badge history remain on the Platform (they belong to the ecosystem, not to you individually); any funds held in Secure Pay escrow will be disbursed according to the dispute resolution process.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform.
