TradiYard is a Melbourne-based marketplace connecting homeowners with licensed, verified tradespeople. We built it because the existing platforms weren't working — for tradies or for customers.
Tradies across Melbourne were paying $15–$45 per lead on existing platforms — whether they won the job or not. They were competing against unverified operators who hadn't even checked their licence. Reviews were curated, not honest. Payment disputes were left unresolved for weeks.
Customers weren't doing much better. They'd hire someone who looked good on a platform, only to find out their licence had expired — or worse, they'd have no way to recover their deposit when the job went wrong.
We launched in Melbourne — starting with inner suburbs and expanding across the city's key renovation corridors. Our founding tradie cohort covers 10 trade fields across 4 Melbourne zones.
Sydney is next. Then Brisbane. Then national. But we're not rushing. We're building this the right way — dense, verified, and trusted — one suburb at a time.
